A mobile application called Ajou Talk Talk has been launched for students’ convenience. It opened in May and is provided by the Ajou Information System Center. The purpose of its creation is to provide students with a great deal of information from the Ajou University homepage and notices of “aims2” in a timely manner. You can get notices quicker with the push alarm, which is similar to the Short Message Service (SMS).
Moreover, you can use the community services to get notices from your classes; you can also chat with friends or form a class study group. Mostly, you will receive many announcements from “Ajou job,” a center that provides students with valuable assistance and programs. There is also a PC version of Ajou Talk Talk. About 3,500 students are using this service.
There are several guides for using the app. Class services such as class groups and class notices are managed on a semester basis; therefore, after each semester, you need to back up your important documents because the class communities will be closed. Chats with friends will not be stored on the server, so you need to capture the important messages. Try Ajou Talk Talk to receive announcements quickly.
Kang Kyung-woo from Ajou’s Information System Center observed, “The advantages of Ajou Talk Talk are quicker and faster notifications and the creation of work groups.” He also mentioned Sogang University, which offers an application similar to Ajou Talk Talk; Sogang students find it very practical.
